The lymphocyte population shows a high density , indicating the presence of a bulky, homogeneous population of lymphocytes. Such a pattern is usually seen in chronic or acute malignancies of the lymphoid lineage. The possible morphology, please see the pathology section.
In chronic malignancies, abnormalities can also be detected in the WNR and WPC channel. Whether or not these are visible depends in part on the number of malignant cells, with the probability of detection increasing with the number of malignant cells in the peripheral blood.
